Seeing & Displaying God's Glory

Psalm 66:1-2 says, Shout for joy to God, all the earth;sing the glory of his name. The scriptures teach that God is glorious by His very nature. He is worthy of all honour and praise just because of who He is! As a church we want to rejoice in how glorious God is and seek to highlight His glory in everything we do

Knowing Jesus & Become more like him.

The glory of God is seen most fully in seeing Jesus! (2 Corinthians 4:6) For this reason, we make it our aim to know Jesus more and more! We labour to do this by being relentlessly committed to the teachings of the Bible. We’re not interested in just learning facts and information from the Bible, but rather, we take Jesus at His word when He said in John 5:39- “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me.” By God’s grace, we want to know Jesus more and become more like him!

Making Jesus known

Acts 4:12 says, “…there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Jesus is the only hope for our world. He’s the only one that can satisfy the deepest longings of the human heart and the only one who can address our deepest need. We all need a saviour; someone to reconcile us to the God who made us! Only Jesus can do that. We want everyone around us to know that, so we’re committed to making Jesus known by telling everyone the good news about him!

Praying Desperately

As a church we are very aware of our limitations individually and corporately. Without God we can do nothing! We are also very aware of the fact that as our Heavenly Father, God’s ears are attentive to our prayers and the prayers of all of His people! In light of that, we labour to devote ourselves to prayer. We pray like our lives depend on it to the Almighty, all-sufficient God from whom all blessings flow!

Building Community

Community is important to us, because community is important to God! God is building a community of people who have been redeemed by the blood of His Son. This community is called the church. As a local expression of that community, we value being together in meaningful ways that build each other up. We recognize that community is not an end in and of itself, but it’s a way for us to mutually encourage each other in the faith and display Jesus to the world! We are also unapologetically committed to being a redemptive presence in the larger community of Rexdale and the other communities where we’re scattered during the week. As we have opportunity, we seek to do good to all;especially to the household of faith (Galatians 6:10)
