This video has been hitting the blogosphere a lot lately. It should too. Some Chinese believers receiving a very precious commodity – Bibles. Simply watching their reactions as they open up the parcel of Bibles is a lesson to those of us who have so much. There is no reason why being able to own our own Bibles should not elicit the same response in us – except that we are over satiated with very good things. We have grown so accustomed to having so much, including God speaking to us through the Word of God, the Bible, that it has become common place. Opening a Bible and reading it and being able to understand it and having the privilege of sitting under teaching that explains it and having it in our homes to read it anytime we like, should make us gasp in wonder at the privilege. Enjoy this video. And pray in a sense of wonder that we have a message from God.

Worship God this Sunday with others, under the Word of God. What a glorious privilege it is. His Word is our delight

Psalm 119:16
I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.

I Peter 1:22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, 23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; 24 for

“All flesh is like grass
and all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
and the flower falls,
25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.”
And this word is the good news that was preached to you.

II Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law[b] of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night

Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple;
8 the precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
9 the fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever;
the rules of the Lord are true,
and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
and drippings of the honeycomb.
